Keep writing offline

On a plane, at the cabin, on the subway. Your notes live on your device, and edits sync on their own once you're back online. Start on your laptop, finish on your phone — nothing gets overwritten.

Leave Evernote in one file

Export your notebooks to .enex and upload them to Birchnote. Tags, attachments and checklists land right where they were. Leaving is just as easy: export your whole archive from Settings.

Your system, shared notebooks

Notebooks and stacks, tags, shortcuts, templates. Let your family edit the “Cabin” notebook, and share your lecture notes with a link.

FAQ

How do I move my notes from Evernote?

Export your notebooks as .enex files and upload them in Settings → Import and export. Notes, tags, attachments and checklists all come along.

Does Birchnote work offline?

Yes. Your notes are stored on your device, so you can read and edit them without a connection. Your changes reach the server once you're back online.

Where are my notes stored?

On Birchnote's own server and on your devices. You can export everything at any time.

What happens when I reach the Free plan limit?

You won't be able to create new notes until you delete some or upgrade to Starter. Notes in the trash don't count toward the limit, and everything you've written stays where it is.
